To take advantage of our electronic resources, users must be registered patrons of the VCL Library. Some of the electronic resources may require on-line registration on a library computer and others may require that you enter your Borrower ID from your library card. The VCL has made it possible for you to access a wide range of research, reference and reading materials online. eBooks are easy to use. They are accessible from any location -- your library, home or office. Searching them is fast and efficient. You can search every word in every eBook your library has, as well as search within a particular eBook. Plus, each eBook is embedded with the American Heritage Dictionary of the American Language, 4th Ed. Learn More about eBooks.

 
  NoveList
NoveList provides a Fiction Readers Guide to 74,000 titles. Search by author, subject or title and follow the links to a good book. To access NoveList, you will need to have your Patron ID number which is the 14 digit barcode number on your library card.

Book Index with Reviews (BIR) helps you find information on the books you want and need to read. Find out what's coming out by using basic or advanced searches. To access BIR, you will need to have your Patron ID number which is the 14 digit barcode number on your library card.

LearnATest.com Library is the leading source of test preparation materials and interactive practice exams, based on official tests, that will help you improve your scores on academic, civil service, military, and professional licensing and certification exams. We provide immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and individualized analysis of your score. Your username will be the borrower ID number from your library card.
The Librarians' Index to the Internet (LII) is a "searchable, annotated subject directory of more than 8,600 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians for their usefulness to users of public libraries."


 

 

FirstGov is the federal government's web catalog of U.S. Government sites. This is a good place to start your search for government information and services.



 
  The Internet Public Library was the first public library of and for the internet community. It started out as a project of the students and faculty at the School of Information and Library Studies at the University of Michigan.
