Library Programs

Reading is just the beginning of fun activities for the summer. Come join us as we explore diverse avenues to Build a Better World. This weekly program will focus on timely topics including taking care of the environment, building relationships with others, volunteerism, and ways to build a better community. This is also a good time to turn-in your weekly reading log and collect your prizes. View additional information about the Summer Reading Program.

American History Seminar

Associate History Professor David Weatherford (NWFSC) discusses American cultural history. Topics include American music, art, sports, literature, religion, politics, education, and foodways. Class meets Wednesdays at 9:30am.

Movie Events

Each month our library will feature newly released, entertaining movies. Movies are shown on a wide projector screen along with a surround-sound system. Admission is free and open to the public. Check the Calendar of Events for information regarding the featured movie, dates, and times.

French Club

The French language club meets twice-a-week for basic writing and vocabulary lessons taught by French language instructor Gratien Miceli. Club meetings occur each week on Tuesday and Friday for beginning and advanced members.

Needles and Hooks Social

The Needles and Hooks volunteer for knitting projects while learning new skills from group projects. The group accepts worsted weight and baby yarn donations for charity projects such as prayer shawls, cancer caps, and baby booties. Club meets Wednesdays from 12:00 - 2:30.
