To take advantage of our electronic resources, users must be registered patrons of the Valparaiso Library. Some of the electronic resources may require on-line registration on a library computer and others may require that you enter your Borrower ID from your library card. Please contact the Valparaiso Library for membership information and assistance.

  NoveList
NoveList provides a Fiction Readers Guide to 74,000 titles. Search by author, subject or title and follow the links to a good book. To access NoveList, you will need to have your Patron ID number which is the 14 digit barcode number on your library card.

Book Index with Reviews (BIR) helps you find information on the books you want and need to read. Find out what's coming out by using basic or advanced searches. To access BIR, you will need to have your Patron ID number which is the 14 digit barcode number on your library card.

 
            The Librarians' Index to the Internet (LII) is a "searchable, annotated subject directory of more than 8,600 Internet resources selected and evaluated by librarians for their usefulness to users of public libraries."


 

  FirstGov is the federal government's web catalog of U.S. Government sites. This is a good place to start your search for government information and services.

  The State Library and Archives of Florida site supplies information on archival records, documentary history, and more.
 


 

  The Internet Public Library was the first public library of and for the internet community. It started out as a project of the students and faculty at the School of Information and Library Studies at the University of Michigan.
